Product supporting the functioning of short-statured individuals in the apartment
Baskets
The baskets are made from drawn wire mesh, which ensures they are lightweight while maintaining adequate rigidity. They are suspended on rails designed to correspond with the step guides. These rails are made from steel rods with a diameter of 2 mm, which extend from the front of the step and lead towards its rear, creating a support line that allows for smooth movement of the basket.
The step extension mechanism is based on sliding guides with a trough profile and an additional screw-on element in the form of a short clamp, which provides stability for the entire system.
The guides are designed with a five-millimeter slope, allowing the steps to smoothly descend to the ground during extension, minimizing resistance and protecting the surface from damage.
CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS
Structural frame
The object's frame is made of steel pipe with a diameter of 12 mm. The front legs, along with the internal bend, have been designed as elements perpendicular to the base, while the rear legs are inclined at an angle and extended 40 mm beyond the outline of the seat. This approach increases the support surface, which translates into better stability and minimizes the risk of the structure tipping over when loading the edges. The object has also been tested for user ergonomics, allowing for the optimization of the angle of inclination and seat height to ensure comfort and safety.
Functionality
The stool has been designed as a functional solution to facilitate access to higher areas in the apartment. The interior of the steps has been utilized as storage space – pull-out baskets on rails have been implemented, allowing easy access to stored items.
